San Francisco: Tartine Bakery

Remember the Tartine Bread book I was telling you about? Well, I visited their bakery while I was in San Francisco. It turned out to be quite an experience. I had to queue, as it is a very popular café in the Mission neighbourhood 🙂

It was really difficult to make the decision with all the variety of tarts and cakes and pastries….

Lemon cream tart topped with edible flowers next to a latte in a bowl, served on a wooden table.

Eventually I chose the lemon cream tart, which was really, really yum. I still couldn’t quite get used to drinking my latte from a bowl!

And a hot pressed sandwich, sourdough with mozzarella and tapenade, for lunch in Dolores Park. Perfect. With marinated carrots? Interesting!

I wish you were there 😉
