Simple glitter bird decorations

Last week I made these glitter bird decorations for the Christmas tree. They turned out wonderfully sparkly and looked very sweet among the branches.

And no, I am not late with this. I actually enjoy making them once the Christmas rush is over. It becomes a quiet little craft moment.

A collection of bird-shaped cookie cutters arranged on a wooden surface with paper featuring outlined bird shapes and an eraser.

These little birds are very simple to make. I just used a cookie cutter to draw the shapes onto cardboard and cut them out.

Scissors placed next to paper cutouts of bird shapes on a wooden surface.

Then I painted them black and, while the paint was still wet, sprinkled glitter over the top. That’s really all there is to it. Once they dry, you can add a little piece of string and hang them on the tree.

You can use any shapes you like, of course, but I thought the birds looked especially sweet among the branches.

Merry Christmas!
